Game Played

There are lots of other nice little additions - budget adjusting has always been something that I've craved as I built up huge transfer surpluses without being able to offer anyone big wages. The scouting has improved, with the knowledge of scouts of different areas playing a part when you want to unblock some attributes of an obscure Arsenal reserve player. The match engine is better, and what small bugs there are will undoubtedly be ironed out by patches.

After finding much enjoyment playing Football Manager 2007, i felt it my duty to buy FM 08. Not only was it better than FM 07, it opened my eyes to a footballing world i thought i knew deeply. FM 08 offers managers so many choices, now with better player interaction, better financial control, a deeper scouting database, detailed and accurate player attributes - the game could not have been made better. The data editor allows users to create teams and players of their own imagination

I was playing as Arsenal one game you'll beat Man Utd 2-0 and then next you'll be 3-0 down to portsmouth in the first 15 minutes and there is nothing you can do.

So, for those yang still tak beli lagi this game. Just find it at The Mines shopping complex. No more demo game. Hehehehe....

Mourinho afraid to face Ferguson!!!

José Mourinho has parted company with Chelsea FC by mutual consent after more than three years in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Short statement
The London club confirmed the news in a short statement in the early hours of this morning. It read: "Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho have agreed to part company today (Thursday) by mutual consent." There is no news yet on who will succeed the 44-year-old with Chelsea next in action on Sunday against Manchester United FC at Old Trafford.

Glittering success
The Portuguese coach took over at Chelsea in June 2004 having enjoyed a glittering period of success at FC Porto, winning the UEFA Champions League that year to add to the UEFA Cup that had been secured in 2003. Mourinho, who also landed two Portuguese Liga titles and a domestic cup with Porto, translated his success to English football, ending Chelsea's 50-year wait for a league title in his first season in charge and repeating the feat in 2005/06. Mourinho also presided over a remarkable run of unbeaten home games at Chelsea, with the 3-2 win against Birmingham City FC on the opening day of the Premier League season last month setting a record in surpassing Liverpool's 63-match streak which was set between 1978 and 1981. Chelsea are now unbeaten in 66 league games at Stamford Bridge.

Champions League losses
He was unable to deliver success in the UEFA Champions League, however, as Chelsea lost to Liverpool FC in the semi-finals in both 2005 and 2007, and they also conceded the Premier League title to United in May. Despite glory in the FA Cup, which concluded with a final victory against United, and an English League Cup triumph – the second time Chelsea had won the trophy under Mourinho – rumours of tensions at Stamford Bridge continued to circulate and Chelsea began the new season in slow fashion, losing at Aston Villa FC in their fifth fixture and also dropping points against Liverpool and Blackburn Rovers FC to lie fifth after six games. The new UEFA Champions League season began in similarly underwhelming fashion with a 1-1 home draw against Norwegian champions Rosenborg BK on Tuesday night, a match that proved to be Mourinho's last in charge.

Persona oh Persona....

The Persona will replace the Proton Wira - one of Proton’s highest volume sellers since 1993.

Persona prices range from RM44,999, for the Base Line variant with five-speed manual gear box up, to RM55,800, for the High Line version with four-speed automatic transmission.

The new model, together with Proton's new ventures in China, will "mark the emergence of Proton from its low ebb,'' Managing Director Syed Zainal Abidin said in the company statement.

Proton has been losing money and market share in Malaysia, Southeast Asia's biggest passenger car market.

Proton said in its statement it could sell up to 48,000 units of the car during the first 12 months.

The company, which is 43 percent-owned by Khazanah Nasional, reported a loss of RM591.4 million ringgit for the year ended March 31, 2007 but it expects to be profitable in the new financial year.

Last month, Proton said it would sell at least 30,000 cars to Chinese firm Youngman Automobile Manufacturing Co., marking its first foray into China.

The car maker is also still in talks with Germany's Volkswagen AG on a possible alliance, with a final decision expected to be made by the end of the year, officials have said.

Proton has also pledged to cut costs, boost exports and introduce new models to prop up sales.

Besides the new Persona sedan, Proton reportedly plans to release other models including a multipurpose vehicle in 2009, officials said.

Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!

Merdeka is a word in the Malay language meaning independence. The term was significant during the anticolonialist and pro-independence movements of the colonies of Malaya, Singapore and Indonesia, in the history of Malaysia, the history of Singapore and in the history of Indonesia. It became a battle-cry for those demanding independence from the colonial administrations of the United Kingdom and Netherlands.

Today in Malaysia, in which Malaya merged with Singapore and Sabah and Sarawak, the term still remains pertinent in the present. It can be seen in the Malaysian national holiday of Hari Merdeka, commemorating Malaya's independence in 1957, and Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square) where the first ceremony raising the flag of Malaya was held following independence. Because Malaya was the primary entity in which the other states of Malaysia merged into, the independence of Malaya remains a significant date in Malaysia's history.

Tunku Abdul Rahman, the inaugural Malaysian Prime Minister, declared Malayan independence with seven shouts of "Merdeka"; the cry continues to be featured prominently in Malaysian Hari Merdeka celebrations.

EPL Opening

Manchester United 0 Reading 0

Wayne Rooney suffered an injury scare as champions Manchester United drew a blank against Reading.

Rooney went down clutching his left foot after Michael Duberry had accidentally landed on the England forward as he closed in to make a tackle.

After suffering two broken metatarsals in his short career so far, there were immediate concerns the injury curse might have struck again, although Rooney was able to complete the opening period as United dominated without making a crucial breakthrough.

Sir Alex Ferguson packed his side with old favourites as Manchester United began the defence of their Premier League title against Reading at Old Trafford. Of his four summer signings, only Nani even made the bench as Carlos Tevez joined Owen Hargreaves and Anderson in the stands.

Chelsea 3 Birmingham City 2

Claudio Pizarro and Michael Essien help Chelsea set an English record for unbeaten league matches at home.

Under Claudio Ranieri and Jose Mourinho, Chelsea had not suffered a home defeat in the Premier League for 63 games, matching Liverpool's efforts in the top flight between 1978 and 1981.

Former Chelsea striker Mikael Forssell had given the visitors an early lead before Claudio Pizarro and Florent Malouda marked their home debuts with goals for the hosts.

With Mourinho's men looking comfortable, Olivier Kapo drifted in from the left and found the top corner with a spectacular strike nine minutes before the break, to see Birmingham City end the first half on level terms.

Frank Lampard was named skipper in the absence of John Terry, while Birmingham's Liam Ridgewell, the summer signing from bitter rivals Aston Villa, was given the captain's armband in the absence of the injured Damien Johnson.

Forssell was given a warm reception by home fans but almost upset them with a fifth-minute shot from the edge of the area that Petr Cech gathered at the second attempt.

Arsenal 2 Fulham 1

Arsenal come from behind to snatch a dramatic late win over Fulham at Emirates Stadium.

The Cottagers had taken a shock lead after just 52 seconds through David Healy following a shocking misjudgement by Gunners keeper Jens Lehmann.

However, a late penalty from Robin van Persie and Alexander Hleb's strike in the 90th minute finally broke the brave resistance of replacement keeper Tony Warner - on after Antti Niemi injured himself during the warm-up.

Fulham were forced to replace goalkeeper Antti Niemi because of injury during the warm-up. Niemi appeared to have a problem with his hand, and did not emerge from the tunnel, with Tony Warner - who spent time on loan at both Leeds United and Norwich City last season - coming into the starting XI.

Arsenal were without summer signing Eduardo da Silva, who had been struggling with a minor ankle problem. Fit-again Robin van Persie - out since January with a broken metatarsal - returned to lead the attack, supported by Alexander Hleb. Right-back Bacary Sagna made his home debut following his summer move, alongside new captain William Gallas in defence.

Aston Villa 1 Liverpool 2

A superb free kick from Steven Gerrard handed Liverpool a 2-1 win at Aston Villa.

Villa looked to have rescued a point when skipper Gareth Barry cancelled out Martin Laursen's first-half own goal with an 86th-minute penalty. But then Gerrard curled a 20-yard shot past the dive of Stuart Taylor barely 60 seconds later, after he had been brought down by Stiliyan Petrov. Overall Liverpool were worthy winners with record signing Fernando Torres making a satisfactory debut despite spurning a golden first half opportunity. The £20.2million capture from Atletico Madrid linked up effectively with Dirk Kuyt before being taken off with 11 minutes remaining.

But man of the match yet again was England midfielder Gerrard who exerted so much influence over proceedings even before his goal while Jamie Carragher excelled at the heart of the Reds defence. Villa huffed and puffed with Barry outstanding in midfield but they seldom tested Jose Reina until he turned over an injury-time John Carew header.

They made a bright start in front of a capacity 43,000 crowd and Reina had to be alert to deal with a stinging 30-yard volley from makeshift Villa right-back Craig Gardner. Carragher showed his class and awareness to block a shot from John Carew at the expense of a corner after he had been played in by Gardner. But Liverpool gradually took command and Torres had his first half-chance after 17 minutes when he blazed over the bar from a narrow angle following a long clearance by Reina.

Sunderland 1 Tottenham Hotspur 0

A late goal from Michael Chopra handed Sunderland a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the Stadium of Light.

Chopra, a 71st minute replacement for Anthony Stokes, pounced o

n a deep Ross Wallace cross to sweep the ball past a despairing Paul Robinson and get Sunderland manager Roy Keane's Barclays Premier League campaign off to a flyer.

It was a rich reward for the way in which Keane's men had gone about their return to the top-flight with Dickson Etuhu also having had a match-winning chance moments earlier.

In contrast Spurs' multi-million pound strikeforce appeared toothless and the usually inspirational Dimitar Berbatov was shackled superbly by Paul McShane throughout.

Berbatov had a half-hearted penalty appeal turned down in the first half and lofted a free-kick over the bar in the second half but otherwise the chances fell Sunderland's way.

Craig Gordon, one of four summer signings named in Keane's starting line-up, could hardly have wished for a more low-key start to life as Britain's most expensive goalkeeper.

As one would expect from a side managed by Keane, the Black Cats had started confidently with Carlos Edwards making good early progress down the right flank.

Bolton 1 Newcastle 3

Newcastle United manager Sam Allardyce had a happy return to old club Bolton Wanderers.

Sam Allardyce could not have wished for a better start to life as Newcastle manager thanks to two goals from Obafemi Martins. To win handsomely away from home on the opening day is special enough, achieving it at your former club must be especially sweet.

While Allardyce was all smiles - Charles N'Zogbia was also on target - his former assistant Sammy Lee has much work to do. The new Bolton boss has promised to play a more expansive game than his predecessor but they only started performing in the second half. By then they were 3-0 down after looking nervous from the off.

Former Middlesbrough striker Mark Viduka nearly took advantage of a mix-up after five minutes. He managed to get a shot in only to see it deflected to safety by new boy Gerald Cid.

Winning Eleven Maniac!!!

Winning Eleven is a football (soccer) video game series made by Konami Tokyo. It is the original Japanese version of Pro Evolution Soccer. Every year, the new version of the game is released first as Winning Eleven in Japan, and after a few months a slightly modified version is released worldwide, in two different packages: Winning Eleven International for the Americas, and Pro Evolution Soccer for the rest of the world. Additionally, in some countries a localized version is released, featuring local leagues and teams, instead of European ones. From 2007 and on, the franchise uses the name "Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer" for the American market.

History and Features

Winning Eleven's popularity has grown over the years, and is currently one of the most popular football games world-wide, fiercely rivaling EA's FIFA Series. Winning Eleven 10 is the latest version of the game and was released in Japan on 27 April 2006.

The Winning Eleven series has been produced under the guidance of Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka at KCEJ.

The main single-player mode is the Master League mode, where the player is given control of a team of his/her selection. However, the players are all generic, fictional players with relatively poor statistics. These players have become cult figures to many people playing the Master League. The aim is to use these players and gain points by winning matches, using acquired points to purchase real players to join the team. Ultimately, one should end up with a team of skilled players. In Winning Eleven 8, players' growth and decline curves were added, where a player's statistics may improve or decline, depending on training and age. This added a new depth to purchasing players, as one is less likely to purchase an aging star whose statistics are declining over an up-and-coming youngster whose statistics rise dramatically.

Premier League - Da Silva nets winner in Arsenal debut

New signing Eduardo da Silva celebrated his first match in an Arsenal shirt by scoring the winning goal as the Gunners beat Lazio 2-1 in the Amsterdam Cup. I think, even this season Arsenal have not buying a "star" like Manchester United and Chelsea, they still the strong team to give a challenge to their rivals..

How will Arsenal fare without Wenger?

Is Arsenal bigger than Arsene Wenger? Yes.

Can Arsenal survive, and do well, without Wenger?Yes.

In recent years, thanks to the rampant speculation surrounding Arsene Wenger’s future (damn Spanish media), the notion has been raised that losing Wenger will hurt Arsenal.

Very few people can, single-handedly, make the fortunes of an institution (ruining them is easy, ask Leeds or Newcastle). Arsene Wenger is one of these people, and it’s obvious that Wenger’s loss will result in gaping void at Arsenal that they will have difficulty in filling.

However, I don’t think that losing Wenger will necessarily hurt Arsenal, as long as the club prepares for it.

The key questions the club will have to answer are:

Who is good enough to succeed Wenger and immediately lead Arsenal to a title challenge?

Who can respect Arsenal’s playing traditions and adapt his tactics and management style to suit Arsenal?

So here’s a question for Arsenal fans - who do you think is capable of replacing Wenger?
